Current Community Events: Toyota Dream Car Art Contest

The Toyota Dream Car USA Art Contest is designed to inspire creativity in youth, ages 4-15, and help them imagine the future of mobility. A total of nine U.S. winners will be announced during March 2021: the top three in each of the three age categories (4-7 years old; 8-11 years old; and 12-15 years old). Judging based on three criteria: execution, uniqueness, and artistry of concept.

Each artwork submission consists of a drawing by an eligible youth, accompanied by a completed entry form signed by a parent or legal guardian (multiple submissions accepted, but each drawing must be accompanied by a separate entry form). All artwork submissions are required to be postmarked on a date sometime on or between November 16, 2020 through January 31, 2021. Crown Toyota has an additional 100 art kits available for families and schools to pick up (while supplies last).

As you can see from that list, we’re proud to partner with a diverse collection of groups that are able to help the people around Glendora in a variety of ways. This list includes education programs for children and those that help families in need as well as scholarships for the brave men and women that serve our country.

So, how do we go about helping these community groups? Well, it changes from program to program, but we donate funds, hold events like blood drives in our showroom, and sponsor children to get them involved in more activities. Our community outreach has positively affected the lives of many, and you may know someone or be a beneficiary yourself. In our minds, that is more important than any car sale could ever be.

We believe that even just a little bit of kindness can go a long way in inspiring our community members, which, in turn, makes for a friendlier neighborhood that people are proud to call home. Our team has members that may live right down the street from you, so they know what many residents are dealing with, which is why they’re happy to help out. It’s one of the reasons that people that visit our dealership view us as a neighbor instead of a business.
