Changing the oil in your Toyota is often overlooked by many people, and not taken as seriously as it should. An oil change is probably the most important thing on your vehicles maintenance list. Oil is what keeps all of the moving parts in your engine lubricated and it helps remove any metal fragments, chemicals, tiny debris particles from building up in the engine. If you do not get your oil changed regularly, the oil breaks down (turns black) which will no longer help keep your engine lubricated and cause friction. This friction between all of the moving parts causes heat, which can warp and damage your internal engine components.

Oil is black or gritty - New motor oil is the same color as honey, so if your oil is black it is time for an oil change. If you can see little particles on your dipstick, or feel something gritty when running your finger over the oil dipstick that is another sign to have your oil changed. The oil filter can only hold so much and it will not function properly if it is full of bad particles.

My engine is louder then normal - Oil is what lubricates the internal engine parts, so as they move the oil lubricant keeps them from rubbing against each other directly. This reduces heat build up and metal on metal contact which can cause serious damage to your engine. If you notice your engine is running louder then before, it may be time to have your oil changed.

Oil level is low - If you check your dipstick and notice the oil levels in your car or truck are not where they need to be then bring it in for an oil change. Several factors can contribute to your engine oil becoming low like a leak or it is being burned off by the engine. When the oil is being burned off it cannot properly lubricate your engine, which can cause damage. Bring it to us today and let one of our certified techs not only change your oil, but diagnose the real problem at hand and take actions to prevent it from happening again.

I do not remember the last time I changed my oil - This is common and many people simply forget the last time they changed their oil. It is best to keep a routine schedule of your oil changes so you can always keep your vehicle running at it's best. If you forgot the last time you had your oil changed then bring it to us and we can put you on a maintenance schedule.

Oil or check engine light is on - Newer vehicles come with an oil light, this comes on when there is a problem with the car or trucks oil. Older vehicles do not have an oil gauge and having an oil issue (low level, oil pressure, etc) will trigger the check engine light to come on. We can help diagnose the issue, saving you time and money with a simple oil change.
